Looks like the PSP Go handheld gaming console did not reach the expectations of its maker, as Sony's evolved version of its hit gaming device only sold 17,618 units between late December 2009 to early March 2010. That number is way, way low compared to how PlayStation Portable sold 667,961 units during the same time period.

This is why Sony is seriously considering relaunching the PSP Go with a tweaked-up marketing campaign and drastic price cuts. At 26,800 yen per PSP Go, it is just a few thousand yens lower than a PS3 .
